Rev. Kamil F. Horton, husband of Lady Rev. Aileemah Cannon Horton and father of Jeremiah, Kaylee, Kylee, James and Jael serves as the 7th Pastor of the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Jersey City.
Prior to his assignment at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Rev. Horton served as Associate Minister, Bishop’s Assistant, and Director of Men’s Ministry at Pleasant Grove Cathedral of Newark, NJ under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Vincent M. Rouse, Sr. and Pastor Natasha Johnson- Rouse.
Beyond the pulpit, Reverend Horton has a heart for outreach and community service. His ministry reflects his belief that the Church must not only preach hope but also demonstrate the love of Christ through action.
Reverend Horton possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Education. In addition, he holds a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty University with a concentration in Next Generation Ministry.
Driven by faith, love, humility, patience, and a passion for souls, Reverend Horton continues to answer the call of the Great Commission. In his life’s mission is to lead people toward Christ, inspire transformation through the Word of God, and remind the world that “Only what you do for Christ will last.”
