Mission Statement
The mission of the Deaconess Ministry of Mount Olive Baptist Church (MOBC) is to serve God faithfully by supporting the Pastor and Deacon Ministry, caring for the needs of the congregation, and demonstrating the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Deaconesses shall serve with grace, humility, prayer, compassion, integrity, and Christian love while helping to strengthen the spiritual life and fellowship of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Purpose
The purpose of the Deaconess Ministry is to provide spiritual support, Christian care, and faithful service to the church family while assisting the Pastor and Deacons in meeting the needs of the congregation.
Biblical Foundation
The Deaconess Ministry shall be guided by biblical principles of faithful service, compassion, prayer, hospitality, Christian character, and love, following the example of women in Scripture who faithfully served Christ and His church.
Our Commitment
As Deaconesses of Mount Olive Baptist Church, we commit ourselves to serving God and His people with love, dignity, humility, compassion, prayer, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We will support our Pastor and Deacons, care for our church family, encourage those in need, promote unity, and faithfully serve wherever God calls us.
