As members of Mount Olive Baptist Church, we solemnly and joyfully enter into this covenant with one another, acknowledging the grace of God that has called us into His family. We commit to walk together in Christian love, striving for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and service. We pledge to uphold the teachings of Christ, to support the ministry through prayer, participation, and stewardship, and to be faithful in worship and fellowship.
We further covenant to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, maintaining personal and family devotions, educating our children in the faith, and seeking the salvation of our community. We will be just in our dealings, faithful in our commitments, and exemplary in our conduct, avoiding gossip, excessive anger, and anything that hinders our witness. We will encourage one another in times of joy and sorrow, offering support and compassion as we grow together in faith.
Finally, we commit to the mission of Christ, spreading the gospel and serving those in need. We will work to strengthen the body of Christ, seeking reconciliation and unity, and when we move from this place, we will unite with another church where we can continue to live out this covenant. By God’s grace, we pledge to uphold these commitments, trusting in His guidance and strength.
